Meet Our Founder
Hi, I’m the founder of Potter’s Houses Ltd Childcare settings in West Sussex, home to five nurseries & preschools in Felpham & Yapton (and counting): Potter’s House Preschool, Blossom and Bloom Day Nursery, Garden of Eden Preschool, Wonderland Day Nursery… with more on the way.
I’ve spent many years immersed in early childcare education and family support, holding a range of childcare-related qualifications including child and adolescent counselling and play therapy. But beyond the qualifications, my real learning has come from working closely with families—walking alongside them through the messy, emotional, and often overwhelming stages of raising young children.
Over the years, I’ve supported parents through everything from fussy eating and sleep struggles to more complex developmental concerns requiring specialist referrals. I’ve guided childcare practitioners through apprenticeships, advised new settings as they open their doors, and regularly write for ABC Magazine on all things child development.
Somewhere in between school runs, swimming lessons, and football training, I’m also a mum of four, step-mum to two girls, and wife to my very lovely mechanic. Between us, we’re raising teenagers, tweens, and one very busy two-year-old. Life is loud, chaotic, exhausting—and heartbreakingly fast. I often have to remind myself to pause and take it all in (usually over a cup of tea I’ve reheated three times).
Let’s be honest: raising children is hard. Much harder than social media would have us believe. I’ve yet to meet a parent who hasn’t secretly Googled “Why won’t my baby sleep?” or “Is it normal for my toddler to bite?”—or felt the overwhelming urge to hide in the pantry (or bathroom) for five quiet minutes with the snacks they’re trying not to eat in front of the kids.
And that’s where I come in.
I create realistic, non-judgemental, easy-to-follow guides to help parents navigate those tricky stages of child development—without the guilt, shame, or impossible expectations. My aim is simple: to support you, reassure you that you’re not alone, and help you enjoy these fleeting years just a little bit more.
Because you’re not failing. You’re parenting. And that matters.
Our Ethos
Essentially, we are parents. We understand how it feels leaving your child in the care of others, we understand how incredibly precious they are and we understand that you want the best possible care for them.
We endeavour to work with you every step of the way. We want your children to grow up believing in their abilities, believing that they can be absolutely anything they wish and believing that they are special enough to change the world.

Meet Our Area Manager
I have extensive experience in Early Years Settings and Managerial roles and am dedicated to training staff and Managers to deliver and maintain exemplary standards. I am passionate about providing nursery experiences for families and children that reflect a nurturing and supportive home from home approach. Being a mum of two girls myself I can relate to the anxiety of leaving your children in someone’s else care and the importance of providing an environment where children flourish and grow with individuality.
